Bailiff or Enforcement Officer?
If you’ve issued your claim and obtained judgment but the debtor still hasn’t paid you what is owed, you can use Money Claim Manager to send in the Bailiffs.
WARRANT
If your county court judgment against the debtor is for less than £600, you can instantly print-off Warrant Form N323 to send to the court with the court fee. A bailiff will visit the debtor’s premises and seize and sell goods in order to pay the judgment debt.
SHERIFFS LODGMENT CENTRE
For County Court Judgments of £5,000 or more (unless your claim was made purusant to the Consumer Credit Act 1974) you cannot use a County Court Bailiff – your Judgment must be dealt with in the High Court. To this end, Money Claim Manager will prepare the forms you need to refer your case to the Sheriffs' Lodgment Centre (SLC). The SLC will arrange for a High Court Enforcement Officer to visit the debtor and get back what you are owed. With Shergroup you get more than a simple transfer-up of your Judgment.
The Sheriffs Lodgment Centre is a division of Shergroup, the UK’s leading provider of High Court debt enforcement. Experts at what they do, they have their own field force of professionally trained Enforcement Officers covering every postcode in England and Wales. Recognised as the best in the business, they work alongside you to achieve speedy and cost effective solutions.
